Zhang Yuchuan

We know the Artist: 

He was born in 1987 in China, he graduated in 2013 in Fine Arts graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou (China).

In 2016 he became Master of Fine Arts (MFA) graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou (China).

In 2016 with “The Girl in My Dream” he won the 3rd prize of Xu Qinsong Creation Award and Li ZiJian’s with scholarship, exhibited in the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou (China).
In 2017, he won the 6th Anhui (China) Fine Art Exhibition.

In 2017, he participates in the 2nd China International Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition in Changchun.

In 2018 participates in New Era • Anhui New Hui Style Calligraphy and Painting, 40 Years of High Quality, Jinjing Exhibition at the National Art Museum of China.

In 2018, she participates in the 3rd China International Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition in Changchun.

In 2019 he participates in Russia in the VI Festival of outdoor ice sculptures “CRYSTAL TOMSK”.

In 2020 he participates in the 26th National Snow Sculpture Competition, Haerbin, China.

He wins the 7th Anhui Fine Arts Exhibition (China) in 2020.

In 2021 participate in the 5th China International Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition in Changchun.

In 2022, he won the 8th Anhui Fine Art Exhibition in Arowana, China.

Proposal for the Predaia Symposium 2023:

Zhang’s proposed sculpture has the title “SILENCE”.

In the silence, due to the fire of Hephaestus, smoke is produced.

Through the smoke, it seems to us that we have entered the mysterious and fantastic garden of the God Pan.

The figure and smoke are carved with a whole piece of wood.

The boat and the bunny playing the clarinet will be made from the cut wood, to be installed above the smoke to create a floating sensation.
