Rudolf Rößl

We know the Artist: 

Born in 1965 in Bregenz, he grew up in the “Bregenzwald” (Bregenz forest).

In 1983 he finished his professional training Wood and stone sculptures.

He is self-taught in the “Airbrush” technique.

In 1990 he realized the construction of his Atelier.

Since 2005 he has been organizing courses on wood and stone.

The sculpture created by Rudolf has the title “Salamandra, salamandra, salamandra”

What looks like a magic formula is actually the scientific name for the spotted salamander; an extraordinary and beautiful amphibian, where nature shows its strength and creative form.

Over the centuries, people believed that the “Salamandra de fuoco” was immune to fire, and it was even thought that it could put out a fire by throwing it directly into the fire.

The flashy and personal design serves to warn the enemy (in nature), the poisonous secretion emitted by the glands of the skin also serves to protect the animal itself on the front line from fungi and parasite infestations.

The fire salamander is considered endangered in most European countries.

It is in our hands to protect this wonderful and special living being.
