Let’s get to know the artist:

Erwin Rizzardi was born on July 20, 1996 between the Dolomites mountains and the apples of Val di Non, in Trentino, Italy.

Since he was a child he was contaminated by the rural influences of local craftsmanship, an influence that would later lead him to experiment and learn new techniques also thanks to the numerous trips he made around the world.

He graduated in metalworking and then in construction, environment and territory.

After years of various jobs at European and international level, he decided to return to the small town where it all began.

Since then he has been involved in the design, creation and installation of works in the fields of art, design, craftsmanship and events.

The contrast plays a fundamental role in his research, emphasizing the man-nature binomial, tending to use typically construction materials combined with natural materials.

The idea is to create doubts in the observer, trying to understand where the limit can be found between these two factions so distant and at the same time close. An intertwining that can be constructive and destructive at the same time.

Proposal for the “Predaia Arte e Natura” 2024 itinerary:

The work “VALICO”, proposed by Erwin, is prominently positioned at the entrance of the park, between the “Viale dei Sogni” and the path that leads to the “dossi” locality.

Created with clear and geometric lines, it aims to create a transition and a passage between the outside world and the natural environment of the “Predaia Arte e Natura” artistic park.

Instead of collapsing to the ground, the floating stone wall defies gravity.

Through the “VALICO” installation, we want to explore the concept of border, not as an obstacle, but as a place of possibility and transformation.

The gap symbolizes the opening towards new experiences and knowledge, while the suspended stone wall suggests a fluid, almost ethereal barrier that defies spatial and visual conventions.

This artistic representation embodies the idea of openness and exploration, stimulating the audience to go beyond traditional limits and embrace a sense of freedom and adventure.

“VALICO” thus becomes not only an entry point to the park, but a symbol of hope and possibility, which invites viewers to explore the world with new and open eyes and to reflect on the concepts of border and transition.

Through the use of materials and arrangement, the work creates a unique and suggestive experience that stimulates the mind and senses.
